A Day in the Life of the Stables Wedding Team

From First Look to Final Dance: What We Really Get Up To on Your Big Day

Ever wondered what your wedding team gets up to behind the scenes while you’re sipping fizz and dancing the night away? Let us take you on a little journey through a typical wedding day at the Stables, from early starts to late-night slices, and show you how we work our magic to keep everything flowing effortlessly.

Meet Your Dream Team

You’ll be looked after by two of our in-house legends:

Georgie - Event Manager
Our resident hype girl, spreadsheet wizard and chief of calm. Known for her “patience of a saint” energy and serious skills with a microphone (and a dress bustle).

Rebecca - Assistant Event Manager
Calm, collected, and the queen of attention to detail. Also, our in-house ice cream connoisseur and general superhero when things need doing quietly and perfectly.

9am - The Calm Before the (Beautiful) Storm

Georgie’s in early, coffee in hand and ready to go. If you’ve chosen an outdoor ceremony, she’ll be the one making sure every chair is perfectly placed, petals scattered, and the archway looks like a Pinterest board come to life. She’ll also pop up to say hi to the bride and check that everyone’s feeling fab.

As late morning rolls around, Rebecca arrives on-site, warmly welcoming registrars and rallying everyone involved in the ceremony (yes, even Uncle Dave, who's gearing up for his big reading). She’s the mastermind behind the scenes, making sure every moment runs like clockwork.

1pm - Let’s Get You Married!

Just before things kick off, Georgie gathers your guests from the pub and leads them into the ceremony space. She’s on music duty, pressing play at just the right moment. Meanwhile, Rebecca is backstage, fluffing dresses, dabbing tears, and getting the bride ready to make her entrance from the Hayloft.

Once you’ve walked back up the aisle as newlyweds, Georgie will be there with a glass of fizz waiting for you. We’re firm believers in toasting love immediately.

1:30pm - Drinks, Nibbles, and a Touch of Magic

While your guests sip cocktails and smile for photos, Rebecca’s getting the wedding breakfast space ready and flipping the outside ceremony setup. Thanks to your early arrival the day before, your décor will already be in place, no day-of setup stress here.

3:30pm - Let’s Feast

Georgie calls everyone to the wedding breakfast and keeps the speeches rolling smoothly, mic in hand. Rebecca’s checking that the kitchen is good to go. You’ll be amazed how seamlessly it all runs.

We serve your feast one table at a time (no queueing chaos here) and by the time dessert’s done, we’re already planning the next big switch.

6:00pm - Turnaround Time (& a Round of Golf?)

While you and your guests sneak off for a cheeky round of Container Golf (trust us, it’s brilliant) the whole team whirls into action to turn the room around for the evening do. Partitions come down, candles are lit, and the dancefloor gets its final polish.

8:00pm – First Dances & Final Touches

We roll out the cake, cue the music, and make sure you’re centre-stage for that magical first dance moment. While you're spinning under the fairy lights, we’re plating up your evening bites and prepping the kitchen for a round of late-night cake.

Midnight – One Last Slice (and a Sneaky Sandwich)

By now, Georgie’s headed home for a well-earned rest, and Rebecca’s your final fairy godmother of the night. She’ll make sure guests find their rooms, you get back to the Hayloft safely, and that your midnight feast is ready and waiting. Bliss.

Favourite Moment? Easy.

Always the ceremony. There’s nothing quite like watching two people promise forever, surrounded by love, nerves and joy. It gets us every time.

Little Extras We’re Always Ready For:

  • Emergency safety pins (we have loads!)

  • Dress bustling and bathroom backup

  • Cake cutting choreography

  • Getting confetti out of your hair

  • Helping Grandma with a cuppa

  • Quietly sorting out buttonholes, speeches, and that one groomsman who forgot his socks

And yes, we’ve even played WWE entrance music for a groom once (his bride surprised him, it was epic).

At Stables, your wedding day isn’t just an event, it’s a moment we’re genuinely excited to be part of. We’re here to hold your hand, your dress and your champagne, all while making sure the day runs without a hitch.
