Planning a wedding, party, or celebration can be full of excitement, and lots of questions too! To help make things simple, we’ve gathered some of the questions we get asked most often, so you can feel relaxed and confident every step of the way.

Venue

Absolutely! Stables pride itself on being a ‘one-stop shop’ for your wedding day.

Our downstairs space can seat up to 120 guests for a sit-down meal, and can accommodate up to 200 people in total for the evening (that's 120 seated and 80 standing).
Upstairs, our 'ceremony' room can hold up to 60 guests. -
The deposit is £1,500 to secure both the venue hire and The Hayloft. If you’d like, we can also reserve up to six rooms for your wedding party.

We’ll hold your chosen date for two weeks, giving you time to speak with the registrars or your church. After that, we’ll need to take a deposit to secure your booking.

Our £1,500 deposit is non-refundable if you decide to cancel your wedding with us. However, if for any reason we have to cancel your booking, we will refund your deposit in full.

Absolutely! Our courtyard is licensed for outdoor ceremonies, as long as you're standing under the wooden structure at the far side.
If you’d prefer a fully open-air ceremony, that’s possible too — but it would need to be part of a duo ceremony, meaning you'd move under the wooden structure (or indoors) to sign the register and make everything official. -
No, we take the payment for the ceremony to be held here, which is included in the venue hire. There is a separate fee to pay to the registrars.

Absolutely! Our virtual tour lets you explore Stables from wherever you are, perfect for getting a feel for the venue before enquiring. Once you’ve booked, it’s a great way to start visualising your ideas and making the space your own.

Absolutely! We have 22 onsite bedrooms. We can reserve up to six rooms for your guests to book.

Yes, if you are a Norfolk Passport holder you will get 10% off rooms.

Yes, several dog-friendly rooms are available; we have also had dogs walk the bride down the aisle in the past!

Our venue is fully accessible downstairs, with a small ramp into the garden.

Yes! The Hayloft is included in your booking for two nights, perfect for you and your bridesmaids the night before, and then for you and your partner on the wedding night. It sleeps up to six, and we’ll have it cleaned and ready for you after your ceremony.

Your Wedding Day

Unfortunately not, this land is privately owned by residents, so we cannot access it for photos. However, Sandringham is a 5-minute drive away and has stunning scenery for photographs!

Before your event, you will be asked to send over any specific dietary requests you or your guests have. The most appropriate options will then be suggested moving forward. For instance, if they had a particular allergy that could not be recreated in the meal, it is recommended to make them their plate.

There are several highchairs at Stables and the main restaurant. Please inform the team how many highchairs you need to ensure enough on the day.

Our team will be on hand to make sure you can move around the venue without being spotted! If the groom is staying onsite too, we’ll stagger your breakfast times, brides often come down around 7am for a quick bite before heading off for hair and makeup. We'll handle all the logistics to keep the big reveal truly special.

Yes, you can! We love outdoor ceremonies; but it’s important to know that the final decision rests with the registrars on the day. Their choice will depend on the weather and guest safety (for example, the risk of sunstroke). To keep things flexible, we set up the ceremony about an hour before the registrars arrive, so we can easily adapt if needed.

We provide all the essentials — tables, chairs, tablecloths, cutlery, glassware, and napkins. For everything else, like decorations, DJs, and entertainment, you’ll need to book suppliers separately. View our trusted suppliers here

A DJ or band can be arranged to play outside in the courtyard until 11pm, after which the music can be moved inside for you and your guests to dance until midnight.

The minimum numbers for payment are 55 for the day/ceremony during Peak Season. Outside of Peak Season, there are no minimum numbers.

We believe the timings should work around you, not the other way around! About a month before your wedding, we’ll schedule a meeting to go through every detail and finalise your plan. On the day itself, we’ll stay flexible, if any tweaks are needed to keep things flowing smoothly, we’ll always check in with you first.

The in-house team is in charge of the catering and bar, but you can bring in your suppliers for any other aspects of your wedding day. Here’s a link to Stables’ trusted suppliers.
